Today’s catch. The wind played nice and we were able to fish where we needed to.  Mostly 20-24 inch stripers on live shad. Finished with 11 stripers, 19 blue cats on jug lines, and 7 Sand Bass.

Windy windy day. We were marking good stripers and getting a bite every few minutes. Then the North wind showed up @ 30mph almost all at once. We hid from the big waves and fished protected water. Not a bad haul nonetheless.

Jug fishing today with one of my favorites. We jugged for about 3-1/2 hours. They were biting about as fast as you could get around to checking them. If you want to stock up for that family fish fry. This is the stuff that you want. Biggest on the day was a 56 pounder which we released. The others weren’t so lucky. 5 gallons of fillets went home to Ft. Worth.

Father/son trip from Amarillo. Something tells me this little boy had a great day. 56 Sand Bass, 1 striper, and 19 blue cats up to 27 pounds. The fish cooperated. The jugs did well.
Great folks on a great February day. I really feel like things are starting to shape back up. The water is finally clearing up and the fish seem to be developing a strong appetite.

Some of my longtime faithfuls came down for some fishing. We got fogged in almost all day but still put together a nice box of fish. Some blue cats, some sand bass, some stripers, and a whole bunch of laughter and wisecracks.

Great day with some super awesome folks from my hometown of McLoud. We fished hard for anything that would bite. Ended up with a whole bunch of nice blue cats and some fat Sand Bass. The February weather was great. And the people were even better. 12 gallons of fillets went home with this crew. Thanks guys!

I only had 1 customer on this trip. We did a little juglining. Then settled in on a school of fat White Bass mixed with a few stripers that were biting as fast as we could get a bait down to them. Great trip!

Fish fry!! We had a nice day on the lake. The striper bite was m.i.a. but we knew that going in. We set out the jugs first thing. Then went deadsticking for a while. There were 2 times that we actually had good marks underneath us but only managed 2 sand bass, a drum, and 4 misses. We ran the jugs again. Then tried some longlining. No luck there either. Ran the jugs again. Then packed it in. We finished with 31 blue cats up to 31 pounds. They took home 8 gallons of fillets.
